First let’s consider what traditional copywriting is, and why it’s one of the most valued skills you can develop.
Copywriting is a skill that empowers the content creator to communicate their messages in a way that resonate with readers. Whether it be through catchy headlines or an emotive narrative, copywriters are able to make people feel something and act on what they read (Think sales, subscribers, conversions…)
Copywriting also helps reduce production costs as content creators can write one piece of copy for use across many different platforms– whether website text, social media posts, email newsletters etc.– without having to spend time rewriting each individual document from scratch.
So how does that work with Artificial Intelligence (AI)?
Some people argue that AI copywriting is the future in terms of automating our content processes.
One thing that is clear is that Artificial Intelligence (AI) can help automate repetitive tasks like writing sales pages or blogs for your products/services. It’s a way to automate the writing process of content online.
With AI, software can analyze data and create rich sentences that are attractive for readers with minimal human input required!
We literally feed some keywords and suggestions into the software and let it do its magic!
Who Are Conversion.ai?
Based in Austin, Texas, the team at Conversion.ai are led by Dave Rogenmoser and Chris Hull. They have been developing products to help entrepreneurs, marketers and agencies for a while, with other companies such as Proof and PayFunnels.
Conversion.ai was started to help solve the single biggest challenge that any writer faces – WRITERS BLOCK.
Dave and the team are embracing advancements in technology and in particular GPT-3 Technology – “A gigantic neural network” that companies can tap into to develop automation tools using AI.
Thus, Jarvis was born.
What Is Jarvis?
Avengers fans out there will see the very clever branding play that Conversion.ai have made by naming their software Jarvis.
But unfortunately, this isn’t a Tony Stark invention, instead it’s just a genius bit of marketing.
Which template you use depends on the type of content you need to write, but here are some examples:
AIDA Framework – Use the oldest marketing framework in the world. Attention, Interest, Desire, Action
Problem-Agitate-Solution (PAS) Framework – A valuable framework for creating new marketing copy ideas.
Product description – Create compelling product descriptions to be used on websites, emails and social media.
Content improver – Take a piece of content and rewrite it to make it more interesting, creative, and engaging.
Blog Post Topic Ideas – Brainstorm new blog post topics that will engage readers and rank well on Google.
Blog Post Outline – Create lists and outlines for articles. Works best for “Listicle” and “How to” style blog posts or articles.
Blog Post Intro Paragraph – Blast through writers block by letting us write your opening paragraph for you.
Sentence Expander – Expand a short sentence or a few words into a longer sentence that is creative, interesting, and engaging.
Facebook & Google Ads – Generate scroll-stopping headlines and primary text for various ad platforms.
Amazon Product – Create key feature and benefit bullet points for Amazon listings under the “about this item” section. as well as powerful descriptions.

On top of that, if you sign up for the “Unlimited plan” (In Beta Mode) then you will get access to a document editor which allows you to freestyle with long-form content. There are people using this feature to crank out blog posts and books.
Benefits of AI Copywriting
Using conversion.ai definitely helps speed up the process of writing. It’s a great way of kick-starting your thought process and picking up the rhythm. Allowing you to create content in less time – perfect for side hustlers like me who build our empire around work and family commitments.
Destroy Writers Block
In the same way, we see a speed benefit, it’s also really effective at just getting started. Blasting out that opening paragraph using the intro template can push you past 2 hours of staring out the window, anticipating your first few words.
Lower Your Costs
If you have outsourced writing you are probably aware that good quality doesn’t come cheap, in fact, one good article can cost the same as a monthly subscription to the unlimited package. Conversion.ai allows you to reinvest that money and time elsewhere to help grow your business.
Level Up Your Copy
Personally, I make a living rebooting things in the murky and geeky world of IT. This blog, my YouTube channel, and all of the skills I have developed have taken time. I am not a natural writer, and I find persuasive and compelling copy really difficult. Luckily AI copywriting software is designed with this in mind. So used in the right way it can take my published copy up a notch.
What I Like About Conversion.ai
So far in this Conversion.ai review, we have covered what AI Copywriting and this particular software is all about and what it offers.
Next, we are going to discuss whether it actually works.
I mean it’s all well and good telling me the benefits, but what is the reality?
Here are some of the things I think Conversion.ai get right and should be applauded for.
Clearly, functionality is one of the most important factors when it comes to any software, but if it looks poor and doesn’t feel intuitive then are you going to use it?
I doubt it.
Conversion.ai have the best product I have tested so far in this sector when it comes to layout and how intuitive it is to automate that copywriting. The templates, the input, the design. It just works.
Simplicity is key. Whilst I admire the Conversion.ai rivals that offer a blank sheet of paper and a reliance on your own intuition. I much prefer the abundance of templates that I can use – each one designed to fulfil a different need.
If you want to witness real enthusiasm and support then dive into the Conversion.ai Facebook Group. It’s great to see so many people with different entrepreneurial backgrounds all utilising the same software to achieve different goals.
I find it really inspiring listening to their use cases and unique requirements.
Whatever the content is that you produce – Blogs, YouTube, Social Media, or even ales pages for your own products, there is a way that Conversion.ai can be utilised. Maybe you are a freelancer and currently, write content for others or run an agency, again its a useful tool to potentially improve your copy but almost definitely achieve more in the same timeframe.
Does it auto produce faultless content 100% of the time. Absolutely not.
Does it create written copy that is often better than my own? Yes.
In my case, I find that often the output gets me thinking about different angles or ways to approach my writing. It’s not a push-button miracle solution – more on that in a second – but it is a great assistant to work with and develop my own writing style.
Downsides of Conversion.ai
Look, it’s not perfect……
I clicked on that “Free Trial” button with more than a little prejudice. I didn’t expect much at all.
But I was pleasantly surprised.
Initially, I assumed that the biggest negative would be that it doesn’t sound real. It would sound like a robot and lacks emotion, making it less effective in capturing audience attention or connecting on an emotional level with customers.
But that isn’t the case, and this Conversion.ai review has taken an unexpected direction!
Instead, my biggest negatives are:
Long-form Content Expectations
This may be harsh, but there are people expecting to type in 3 keywords, push the button and Jarvis will automate a 2000 word blog post.
SPOILER ALERT – It won’t.
And it shouldn’t either. It should be a companion to help you assemble blog posts and sales copy, not do all of it for you.
I do feel that the longer the output, the more that the copy gets a little lost and muddled. I do expect to see continuous improvements though from a company that are putting so much time and effort into their product.
How much does Conversion.ai cost is something we will cover in a short moment as part of this Conversion.ai review.
However, I will let the cat out of the bag a little and reveal this as part of my peeves list!
On a standard subscription (very reasonably priced) you get 20,000 words of generated content a month. Which as it suggests, means each time you generate some copy, you use that credit.
After you have used all of your credit up you need to earn or purchase additional credit. Unless you are using the unlimited package.
Personally, I would like to just pay and not have to worry about credit, which means maybe I am more suited to the higher-priced package.
I don’t like this system and not all AI copywriting software uses the same approach.
In their defence though, I know very little about running a SAAS startup and also the financial implications of using GPT-3 technology. Maybe Conversion.ai pay for each content generation themselves and therefore it’s wholly justified (let me know in the comments if this is the case)
You need to be aware of this one. Conversion.ai isn’t built to provide accurate facts. So if your content is dependant on facts and figures then make sure you are double checking everything and doing the right research.
My own blog talks a lot about software and tools, if I run queries around these then the figures can be dated or incorrect.
The moral of the story – don’t be lazy.
I wanted to include a few examples in this Conversion.ai review so you can see how it works and show you some of the capabilities.
Keep tapping that keyboard and losing that time! Seriously though, even with AI Copywriting software, you are going to still be developing your own skills, just at a quicker pace.
The freelance community reaches far and wide and you can hire writers on sites like Fiverr, Upwork, Freelancer, iWriter and more. Personally, I have found that you get what you pay for, and often have to then rewrite the content to fit your own style – or pay for high-quality writers (which will cost you a premium).
AI Copywriting software
Here are a few alternatives in the AI Copywriting Software market. Similar concepts, but slightly different approaches. For me, Conversion.ai just about tops the list, but your needs may vary to mine, so the best way to find out is to test.
There are currently 3 pricing plans for anyone looking to sign up and start using Jarvis for their copywriting needs:
Standard pricing is currently from $29 per month, which gives you the following:
20,000 Words Generated With AI
50+ Short-Form Copywriting Templates
5 Project Folders
25 Supported Languages
AI Copywriter’s Community
What if I run out of credit?
You can upgrade to higher plans in the app or add 5,000 more words for $10 after you hit your plan’s limit.
Higher plan credits and prices are as follows:
35,000 words = $49/mo
75,000 words = $99/mo
115,00 words = $149/mo
150,000 words = $199/mo
There are two other pricing plans available for Conversion.AI
Initially introduced as the Ultimate package this is a premium offering and a great addition if, for example, you are an agency owner and write content for a living.
Pro plan costs $109 a month and has the following features:
1 User Seat included.
$25 per additional user.
Unlimited Project Folders
50+ Short-Form Copywriting Templates
25+ Supported Languages
AI Copywriter’s Community
With the Pro plan you are basically paying for unlimited usage and peace of mind that you won’t run out of credits at any point and can blast out content at will!
In addition, you get access to a long-form assistant which allows you to draft your automated content right into a document, rather than snippet by snippet.
Jarvis will lookback at the last 600 characters of your writing and use that to preempt the next part and smooth the transition.
Boss Mode Plan
The team at Conversion.AI released their “Boss Mode” Plan on 29th June 2021.
It contains everything that Pro Mode offers but also promises:
Write 2x faster and gain control by using Jarvis Command to direct the AI to write exactly what you need.
This has it all – high-quality copywriting – even faster than before! Boss mode also allows you to “lookback” at around 5x the number of characters you can in Pro mode. Which should result in a better output.
For those who don’t know, it’s basically providing value and helpful content, adding in your unique affiliate links, if someone clicks on that link and makes a purchase then you earn a commission.
It’s referral marketing which most companies will have a scheme for, and is particularly effective in the SAAS world.
And yes, you guessed it, Conversion.ai have an affiliate scheme too.
Let me walk you through it.
If you sign up using my affiliate link – then you receive 10,000 bonus credit – and at no extra cost to yourself.
I would also receive 30% commission.
So if you and 2 of your friends all used my link, then effectively it’s pretty much free for as long as you stay subscribers to the software 🙂
This is why I always try and create open and honest content – lead with value and it can be a mutually beneficial way of blogging.
There is absolutely nothing stopping you from doing this too once you have joined the affiliate scheme.
I can be quite cynical in nature at times (despite my best efforts) and when I received an email telling me about this fancy pants software that will auto-create my content – I expected the worst. I decided to put it to the test in order to write this Conversion.ai review.
However, I have actually found Conversion.ai to be refreshingly good. It’s really well designed and intuitive. It not only allows me to write faster but it really encourages me to think about the language and style of writing I use too.
This software helps content creators produce better, more engaging and persuasive content in less time.
It’s not just about writing faster or cheaper but also about producing higher quality work with the same amount of effort.
It isn’t going to work miracles, and I certainly wouldn’t buy it and sit back thinking your job is done.
But if you treat Conversion.ai and its alter ego “Jarvis” as an assistant, a writing companion, then the benefits far outweigh the low monthly subscription costs.
If you have any content and copywriting needs then I would encourage you to take Jarvis for a spin, then come back and let me know what you think?
P.S A big chunk of this Conversion.ai review is actually written with the help of Jarvis – no better way to test it right!
